The Challenge

Lancaster General Health contacted Scality because its EMC Isilon (file) and Atmos (object) environments had become difficult to manage and unreliable with serious system and service disruption.

With a hardware refresh on their roadmap, they considered alternatives to replace EMC file and object storage for their McKesson PACS. Going software-defined is an overall strategic goal for the organization, so Scality solutions were a natural fit.
